Anna Sui to Save the Garment Center

without comments

Anna Sui, a designer as you may know,  hopes that by having as many people as possible wear the t-shirt at left, everyone will realize that  they  should do what they can to dedicate at least certain buildings to the garment industry by ensuring that manufacturers can afford their rent. She has created the idea for the T-shirt that has e-mail addresses of important New York City officials on the back, to raise awareness of the shrinking manufacturing and production facilities in the Garment Center.

Forever21 Remasters the Designers Looks

with 2 comments

As pointed out on fashionista.com Forever21 remasters all of the designers looks for an affordable price. If you are a true fashionista who knows designer clothes when you see them, then go to Forever21 and you’ll swear you found that Chloe purse you have always wanted there. I think we all can agree that the great thing about Forever21 is the affordable prices that won’t break the piggy bank. There are some of us who don’t believe it is right how they are taking designers creations and remaking them for less. Well, lets face it not all of us want to blow all of are money on the real thing when we can buy it for a fraction of the price. I personally am overjoyed that I can find the Marc Jacobs watch necklace I always wanted at Forever21 for an affordable price, or the Chanel inspired quilted handbag that I love for just $29. I want to know what are your thoughts on Forever21 remaking designer creations, and do you personally own any remakes?

Gossip Girl Affect on teen fashion

without comments

Yes, it seems quite conspicuous that since Gossip Girl began teens have been pulled towards preppy clothes, bright headbands, and colorful tights. Some may wonder how one show on television could impact the viewers sense of style. It is a given that retailers such as Forever21, H&M, and various stores have lured in teens by their Gossip Girl inspired tights, clothes, and headbands. So here we all stand in the age of Gossip Girl fashion.  There are many girls who ask themselves, “Would Blair Waldorf wear this?” or “I want Serena’s headband.” With that being said are you caught up in the Gossip Girl fashion?
